San Francisco and our most vulnerable residents continue to deal with the ongoing reality of climate change and the severe weather patterns it has brought with it. San Francisco is and must remain a global leader in environmental justice and green innovation. I strongly believe in the Green New Deal and that San Francisco should guarantee the accessibility of green spaces to all.
Trevor’s plan:
➔ Fully implement the SF Climate Action Plan, and meet all goals of Chapter 9 of the SF Environment Code.
➔ Fully fund San Francisco’s Climate Equity Hub, fully electrify our buildings and appliances, and de-carbonization of the economy by 2040.
➔ Increase our tree canopy, deliver more trash cans, and secure funding to add much needed vegetation.
➔ Invest in climate rehabilitation and protect our wetlands to prevent further algae blooms and fish kill.
➔ Increase green space in underserved neighborhoods.
➔ Update our outdated window code to remove barriers to install modern, energy efficient windows that protect residents from poor air quality caused by fires.
